She's Here!!

Katherine Eliza Henderson was born Wednesday, June 24th 2009 at 8:29 am weighing 7lb 13oz and 20 1/4" long. She spent her first hours in the NICU to monitor some breathing issues but was able to spend her first night in this world back at the room with mom and dad. She and I came home on Friday and are doing well. We are so happy and feel extremely blessed to not only have this precious addition to our family but also that she is healthy and beautiful.

San Antonio

It has been a busy few months and I haven't really had a chance or made the time to put pictures up but once we get settled in (if at all possible?) I hope to get back on here. We have lots of pictures to share and I'm sure lots more when our little girl arrives, which I see the ticker says in 19 days!! We still have LOTS to do!

We flew out of Germany on May 6th after a very busy and stressful few weeks getting out of the house and tying up loose ends. Although sad to leave, we were actually relieved to leave it all behind and finally be on our way. We flew into Baltimore and went straight to our car, which had been shipped 2 months earlier. After spending a few nights in the DC area with friends and getting adjusted to the time change, we spent the weekend in Charlottesville, VA with my family for Mother's Day and made our way down through NC and TN stopping in and staying with friends along the way before a few days of rest in Birmingham with Mark's family. After washing all our clothes and repacking the car for the millionth time, we headed down through Florida and Louisiana before finally arriving here in San Antonio on May 21st. It was a fun trip and wonderful to catch up with so many people (sorry we couldn't see everyone that we wanted to!) but we were ready to get settled, especially due to the fact that I was 35 weeks pregnant upon arrival to SA.

Noah is having fun rediscovering all of his toys, swimming at the neighborhood pool, and looking forward to starting American kindergarten (where they'll speak English!!) in the fall. Mark starts work on Monday and I am working hard trying to get the house in order before June 20-something, which we think we'll make it to. We'll see....... ;)
