Rory and EAnne's Visit

I'm missing some pics from this trip but here are a few. They were gracious enough to watch Noah for 2 days while I went to a conference in Heidelberg. We then took them to Strasbourg, France and Heidelberg.

Close Call!

Murphy's Update: Praise the Lord!
It's only a cyst and should resolve in a matter of time! Thank you for your thoughts and prayers....we know that the cancer is still floating around in his body but each and every extra healthy day we get with our Murphy is such a blessing!

Miss Chris

Our next visitor came a few days after my parents left. Mark's good High School buddy, Chris, now and forever affectionately known as "Miss Chris" (thanks to Noah) came for a taste of Germany during Oktoberfest. Our first stop was in Stuttgart, host to the world's second largest beer festival. A few pics of the area before the boys' night-time fun began.

The next morning after finally waking them, we visited Schloss Neuschwanstein.
We enjoyed the peacefulness of Garmisch before taking the train to brave the crowds in Munich for the world's largest beer festival- OKTOBERFEST!! The two-week festival is attended by over 6 million people.

Mark decided to try a traditional meatloaf, but it turned out to be more like a hotdog loaf. Yuck!

Prost!!!

A long day of festival and walking calls for a nap~
and snack!
These have gotta be the biggest pretzels in the world!

Munich's Oktoberfest

There are over 14 temporary tents set up, the largest seats over 8,000 people! We still had trouble finding seats!

Naw, sorry guys- the stripes just aren't as cool as lederhosen~
The train ride back to Garmsich definitely calls for a nap!
Oh no! Not a kid back-seat driver!! ~
Surrounding areas in Garmisch~

Thanks for a great week Miss Chris!
